Role
I provide advice and guidance to members on the implementation of online learning within their organisation.
I help them to understand their learners' needs regarding technology and to enhance their provision of digital tools and services.
Background
I joined Jisc after five years on the training team at Netskills, based at Newcastle University. With this team, I developed a portfolio of online workshops and supported institutions in the development of their own online learning programmes through training and consultancy.
My particular interests are in the creative use of technologies for storytelling and learner engagement. In 2013 I completed an MSc in Technology Enhanced Learning, Innovation and Change at Sheffield Hallam University conducting my dissertation on digital storytelling in organisations.
My other areas of interest include public engagement through blogging and social media, media production, digital mapping and technology-enhanced fieldworking.
