Embedding AI

At this stage:

• AI should be embedded in existing strategies, rather than as standalone AI strategy.
• Your data maturity allows AI to be considered for all new systems and processes.
• You have in place mature processes to manage the lifecycle of all AI products, including procurement and continuous monitoring.

During the early part of the operational stage, AI projects are likely to be seen as special cases. However, as AI becomes more embedded, it will simply become part of the consideration for any digital transformation project, underpinned by an organisation’s strategy. That strategy will clarify whether the aim is to optimise or transform the organisation.

We have focussed our resources on the earlier stages, as that is where most institutions are today, but will soon be producing a range of resource to support transition to this stage.
