Kevin Lawrence (Ystrad Mynach College)

Kevin is responsible for promoting, developing and embedding the use of ILT in teaching and learning. He was a lecturer in IT for ten years prior to taking up his current post as ILT Development Manager which he has been doing for six years. "I enjoy the diversity that I experience working with lecturers and learners across the College to providing guidance and support in using technology to enhance the teaching and learning process"

This project aims to demonstrate how the use of Wi-Fi (in conjunction with tablet technology) can enable learner engagement. The use of Wi-Fi and technology will enable bricklayer learners to develop a portfolio of evidence, whilst providing a platform for lecturers to provide improved feedback to enhance the assessment process.

The aim of the project is to improve the digital literacy skills of learners and tutors, through the use of tablets, to capture video and photographs of the learners’ work (both completed and in progress).
